Viaita’s presence between Italy and the United States extends beyond residency, relocation and education.

Calcio & Cultura
Before Viaita had a name, there was Italy, family, and soccer.
Weekends built around Serie A matches and youth games. Champions League nights with friends. World Cup qualifiers. And, yes, probably a little too much enthusiasm for Inter Milan and both the Italian and American national teams.
For us, calcio has always been about more than the game. It brings people together across generations, cultures, and countries, often giving people common ground before they even know each other.
Calcio & Cultura grew from that.
Through special events, conversations, and cultural projects, Viaita brings together people and organizations who share an interest in Italian culture, soccer, heritage, and the ties between the U.S. and Italy.

Italian Soccer, Heritage & the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Viaita partnered with the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia on a panel discussion exploring the global influence of Italian football and the ties between Italy and the United States ahead of Philadelphia’s role as a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The event brought together soccer, heritage, and the Italian American community in a conversation about the game’s cultural reach and the relationships it continues to create across countries and generations.
This is exactly what Calcio & Cultura is about: using the game as common ground for conversation, culture, and new relationships between the U.S. and Italy

From Invincible to the Olympics
As part of the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia’s Giornata dello Sport Italiano nel Mondo, celebrating Italian sport and the role it plays in identity, culture and community, Viaita planned an evening with Vince and Vinny Papale, with founder Yvette Magistro moderating the discussion.
The conversation moved from Italian-American roots and family traditions to Vince’s improbable Philadelphia Eagles story, Vinny’s path to representing Italy, and what it means to carry a family name onto a new stage.
That stage is now the Olympics. Vinny helped the Italy’s men’s national flag football team qualify for Los Angeles 2028, where flag football will make its Olympic debut.
At its heart, the evening was about more than sport. It was about family, identity, what one generation passes to the next, and the ways Italy and the United States continue to come together in unexpected places.
